The star cluster Pleiades (M45), is the namesake for this series of beautifully crafted mechanical watches. This star cluster has long been used to mark the time and seasons. It was already mentioned in the Pillow Book, the world famous collection of essays written in the mid-Heian period more than 1,000 years ago, in Japan. Characteristic of this collection is a case with extended lugs that has evolved since the beginnings of Orient Star. Roman numeral indices and leaf shaped hands create a modest, understated look.
