Watches for weddings and anniversaries

Which watches are suitable to wear at a wedding ceremony? And what are watches to give as a gift, for example, to the best man and maid of honor or for a wedding anniversary? 

Although etiquette dictates against wearing a watch to a wedding, this advice is a bit outdated in modern society, and unless the wedding is a black tie event or even more formal a well chosen watch to match your outfit can be the icing on the cake!

For the bride

The bride's watch should not outshine her other jewellery and certainly not ‘the’ ring. Opt for a small ladies watch in soft hues. White, pastels, mother of pearl and matching other accessories in gold or silver.
