Typically Victorinox
We all know Victorinox, of course, from the highly functional and famous Swiss army knives and indestructible military field watches. This typical Victorinox DNA is clearly present in the Concept One series: made out of 316L stainless steel (with a scratch-resistant coating), 10 ATM water-resistant, shock-resistant, and magnetism-resistant. As such, the Concept One is a watch that feels at home both outdoors and in the office.
Stylish, dynamic, architectural design
Also typical of Victorinox: attention to the smallest details. The case and (steel) bracelet of the Concept One have an architectural appearance. Balanced in structure and meticulously finished. The contrast between the clean contours of the brushed steel case and the high-gloss, scalloped edge of the bezel (which is the inverted version of the I.N.O.X bezel) automatically draws the eye to the matte, concave dial. This shape is dynamic and seems like the embodiment of solidified movement.
Zooming in even further, we see the text “STAINLESS STEEL AISI 316L” engraved on the bezel. A small triangle marks the position of the crown at 3 o'clock, and the crown itself features the Victorinox coat of arms.
The dial itself is understated, with sleekly designed Super-LumiNova-coated indices and hands, and a recessed date window at 6 o'clock, which is in turn marked by a luminous triangle. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal offers an unobstructed view of all this beauty.
Finally, both the steel bracelet and the supple rubber strap feature a brushed steel folding clasp with push buttons. And thanks to the Victorinox Quick Release system, you can very easily switch between steel and rubber yourself, depending on the activity or mood of the day.
Solar or automatic movement
Victorinox states: “Concept One combines refined craftsmanship and minimalist design with Swiss engineering. Energy-efficient innovations convert light or movement into reliable performance, ensuring clarity and focus throughout the day.”
In short, the Concept One is available in a mechanical automatic and Solar Powered (a first for Victorinox) version.
The solar watch is equipped with a reliable Swiss Ronda 215 movement. The automatic watch features a Manufacture La Joux-Perret G100 movement, with a power reserve of no less than 68 hours.
Replacing an environmentally harmful battery is (almost) never necessary, making the Concept One a sustainable and practical choice.
